Well well, it's been a long time now hasn't it?
It feels great to be back on this forum, blowing off the 5-inch layer of dust that had taken up residence.
I would like to take this opportunity to announce our next big project ("big" being a bit of an understatement). Guecisco Films will be creating a film series adaptation of Eric Nylund's Halo: The Fall of Reach!
This series is going to be a monumental undertaking, but with time, love and hard work, I believe that the brilliant minds that comprise this studio can pull it off.
Now I realize that there may be many people, if not all of them, that are extremely skeptical. And you should be. I would be too. However, please realize that I would not have considered even mention this to my fellow team if I did not think we would be able to accomplish the series in a way that I felt would bring justice to the imaginings of Eric Nylund and Joe Staten.
We have begun story-boarding, prop building and some formal discussion related to how we are going to convey some aspects of the book, the scenes, the story and things of that nature.
*Current ETA for the first episode to be released is a little early to predict, though I expect it to be no later than mid-summer of 2010.*
The main reason for such a long wait of the first episode is that all of the initial props need to be built, the series needs to be properly cast, and locations need to be scouted.
We will update that time-frame depending on what progress is made and we will post updates on this forum from time to time documenting our progress on prop-building and maybe even some concept art.
Thanks for reading, and please share any questions or concerns related to the Halo: Reach film series.
